EB-3 VISA (GREEN CARD)

What is EB-3 visa?

EB-3 visa provides a path for individuals who do have an advanced degree to immigrate in the US. This type of visa leads to a green card (permanent residency).

There are three groups of people may be eligible for this type of visa:

Skilled workers

Details:

For the positions which require full-time permanent non-seasonal employment and at least 2 years of training or work experience. Post-secondary education may be considered as training.

Professionals

Details:

An individual must hold a US bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree and work in the professional field.

Other workers

For the positions which require less than 2 years of training where there is a shortage of such workers in the US.

EB-3 visa requirements:

In addition to a job offer, this type of green card requires a Labor certification, which requires listing the position by a professional recruiter and the degree requirements should determined as prescribed by the Department of Labor. The labor certification takes in average 8-12 months.

There is also a backlog for this type of visa depending on the country of citizenship of the worker and group of workers.

This type of visa must be sponsored by an employer. Therefore, the process should be started with looking for an employer who would be willing to undergo a time-consuming process to bring the worker in the US.
